This very special Dusenberg was built for the Maharajah of Indore, and at nearly 20 feet long, is truly a car sized for royalty. One of the Maharajah's many requirements involved the running lights on the front fenders. He decreed there should be a red and blue light integrated into the lighting unit; the red light was to be illuminated when the Maharajah was driving, and the blue light for when his wife, the delicate Maharanee, was behind the wheel. With a supercharged engine generating 320bhp, this Dusenberg is a car for the ages.

The Chrysler Newport, one of the last dual cowl phaetons, was designed by Ralph Roberts and custom-built by LeBaron, Carrossiers in Detroit, Michigan. The car featured an all-alumnium body, concealed headlamps, folding windshield and hide-away top. There were a total of six Newports constructed by Chrysler as show vehicles and four are known to exist today.

One of the Newports was selected as the 1940 Indianapolis 500 pace car - the first and still the only time a non-production car has been used in this event. This 1941 Chrysler Newport was originally owned by movie star Lana Turner's millionaire playboy husband, Henry Topping, who customized the car by substituting a Cadillac engine and transmission for the Chrysler components. He also personalized the car by having his name cast into the hubcaps and engine vale covers and adding his
initials to the grill.
